The reason we are so passionate about the benefits of Social Prescribing is the positive impact it has on patients wellbeing. See a testimonial below from our Hall Green Health patient who joined our cycle ride.

Open hearts, open minds, opening doors for the community.

Our first Social Prescribing event has happened! We have partnered with EcoBirmingham’s CycleSouthBrum project to organise a FREE gentle hour long led ride along the wonderful Cole Valley Cycle Route. The day started with putting up posters and setting up a canopy outside our practice building, where later, Dr Bike from EcoBirmingham performed Bike Health Checks for all bikes ensuring they’re safe to ride. Cycle conversations, laughter, fun, learning about bikes, all with the aim of healthy exercise was the theme of the day bringing everyone together!

We’ve listened to the feedback our patients have given about what kind of activities they are interested in for us to set up and Cycling was very popular. This has been our first event as part of our Social Prescribing Project to improve our patients’ health and wellbeing – naturally there’s been a buzz about this in our offices as we’re all very excited! It’s a chance to get fit, get some fresh air, get moving and find out more about Social Prescribing at Hall Green Health with our friendly team. We hope our patients enjoyed the bike ride and we look forward to many more cycle rides from Hall Green Health.
