Register as a Veteran

If you have served a day or more in the UK Armed Forces (Regular or Reservist), please let us know. This helps us tailor your care appropriately. 

Why Register as a Veteran?

  • To access priority referrals to specialist veteran health services where appropriate
  • Mental health and wellbeing support

What support is available?

Understanding Veteran NHS Services

As a veteran, you have access to specialist services through the NHS and trusted partners. These services are designed to support your physical health, mental wellbeing, employment, housing, and more.

Op RESTORE

What it is: 
Helps veterans with physical health problems related to their time in service. This could include injuries, hearing loss, or ongoing pain. 

Who it’s for: 
Any veteran needing specialist NHS treatment for service-related conditions. 

How to access: 
Ask your GP for a referral.

Op NOVA

What it is: 
Provides tailored support to veterans who have been arrested or are at risk of offending. It helps with housing, mental health, and employment. 

Who it’s for: 
Veterans in contact with the criminal justice system.

Op FORTITUDE

What it is: 
A national referral pathway for veterans facing homelessness or at risk of rough sleeping. It connects individuals to housing, case workers, and ongoing support. 

Who it’s for: 
Any veteran who is homeless or facing unstable accommodation.

Op COURAGE

What it is: 
A mental health service designed specifically for veterans, service leavers, and reservists. It offers therapy, addiction support, and crisis intervention. 

Who it’s for: 
Anyone who has served in the UK Armed Forces and needs mental health support.

Op ASPIRE

What it is: 
A support programme to help veterans transition into NHS roles. Includes CV help, interview prep, and access to placements. 

Who it’s for: 
Veterans or reservists looking for meaningful NHS careers.

Op ASCEND

What it is:
A free, government-supported service that helps veterans and their families find jobs, prepare for interviews, access training, and connect with employers who value military experience.

Who it’s for:
Veterans, service leavers, and their families looking for civilian employment or career guidance.
